ANATOMY/PHYSIOLOGY
Anatomy/Physiology is an indispensable component of all the EDS courses offered. This course is a 3 months course which provides instruction and skills needed in locating and understanding, the structure and function of the human body. Develop a general understanding how certain conditions might impact the human body.
Specific Objectives
- Understand the definition and orientation of anatomical terms.
- Define the anatomical and functional structures and its correlation to the human body.
- Acquire the knowledge of the intergration, organization and control of all the human body systems.
- Obtain the knowledge of the muscles origin, insertion, actions of the muscular system.
- Obtain the knowledge of connective tissues and cartlige.
- Obtain the knowledge of the classification of joints.
- Obtain the knowledge of the anatomical planes and axis.
- Obtain the knowledge of the 16 different muscle fibers and directions.
