ORTHOTHERAPY
The Orthotherapy course is a three month course designed to acquire the relevant knowledge needed to work with clients to improve posture, correct movement patterns, improve neuro-muscular function.
Orthotherapy allows the practitioner to evaluate postural imbalances and to construct an intervention plan that combines massage therapy with Kinesitherapy to improve acute and cronic musculoskeletal conditions.
- Acquire valid and reliable assessment skills.
- Identify and isolate faulty movement mechanics and patterns that cause pain and joint distress.
- To use the postural assessment and movement analysis to create an individualized program.
- Develop a solid "toolbox" of exercises.
- Learn how to regress and progress each exercise to accomodate each individual case.
- Therapeutic stretch techniques and applications.
